The Eastern Zone Tournament/Athletics

On the 29th of November 2011 was the day of the Eastern Zone Athletics, where all the schools from the Eastern Zone would battle it out to see who would win and go to the Inter-zone.

The Schools were: Point England, Tamaki intermediate, Panmure District, Saint Thomas,Sacred Heart, Stand Hope, Ellerslie intermediate, Baradine Intermediate(Girl school), Sylvia Park Intermediate, Dilworth intermediate and last but not least Parnell Intermediate.

There were a lot of events going on  but my favourite event was the relay race. In my team where Matthew, Aidan, De’Vye. 

'Ready, Set, Go!' Matthew went first,he was putting his foot down and putting on the gas but it was still not enough. Matthew handed the batten over to De’Vye.

De'Vyne took off as fast as a cheetah! De’Vye was catching up to the rest of the people in front of him. Dev’vye passed it over to Aidan.

Aidan was running so fast that his face was red, he almost looked like he was going to run out of breathe. 

I stared to run, Aidan was coming up, quick! As soon as I got the batten in my hand I was off! 100 metre sprint down the red rubbery track. Thanks to the others that I had a good lead, all I had to do was sprint down the straight track!                

As soon as I crossed that line, my team and I were laughing hard out and breathing hard as well. We came first I yelled excitedly! We are going to the Auckland Champs! “Auckland Champs Here We Come!!!!!!” we shouted.

The Outta Space Fight Night

One night when the Moon was not shining, the stars were not out and the clouds were dark black like as the darkest day. But then I was wrong, this super bright light that came from outta space, was so bright that almost blinded me, I got closer and closer to the space craft and then out popped this weird alien named Dexter,he had spiky hair,brown skin,two eyes and like humans and a body like a human but the only thing that is different  is that he has a tail.




Dexter had told me that his planet was getting destroyed by a Monster from the mid evil times he had powers to live for a very long time he was a IMMORTAL his name was  Kratos the God of war ,Dexter also told me that It was the destroyer of Five planets,Dexter told-ed me that I would be the one to Destroy Kratos,that I was the one to save the planet and the people from harm,lastly Dexter look at me and said that “I had special powers,”I ask “what kind powers do I have?” Dexter said “Find out yourself!”




The next day, Dexter had woke me up early to start my training,I was shock as soon as he told me to punch as many branches up in the trees as I could and the trees were high like the sky,Dexter said to “use my jumping powers,’’ I said “what jumping powers?” “just jump!” Dexter yelled. So I jumped and then I was flying feeling free,I was circling the trees so fast that I got dizzy and then I crashed on some branches just before landing on top of a thick trunk,I wasn’t hurt not even a tiny scratch,I look at Dexter and said “Do I have fast healing powers?” Dexter replied “Yes you do”
“Awesome!” I yelled,”what other powers do I have?’’ Dexter told me that I have “speed,strength, Invisibility and could fly,super high and last but not least was transportation, ” Dexter had a strange face as soon as he put down the his intergalactic cell phone,”What happened?” I wondered,Dexter replied that his planet was destroyed,his people,was killed or were slaves for this beast.




Dexter had trained for weeks and weeks until it was time to fight,I was ready to fight him
but Dexter had warn me to watch out for his massive axe,his powerful punches and his strong kicks,we were fighting in a stadium of lots of aliens in outta space. The fight had  started and all the aliens were booing me,I ducked all his jabs and then I done a really good punch to the stomach and he was down but then he kicked me so bad I went flying out of the stadium,out on to space,and then I transported all the way back to Earth. Kratos was flying all the way down like a king I said to my self ”That show off,”we had a fight back on my home turf, I done a really good punch to the face,I was furious that my anger took over and I was beating him so hard,I forgot about Dexter and the rest of the planet. I stop and It was all over, it so it seemed to be finished but I was wrong Kratos stood up and hurt Dexter and then I finished him of with the ultimate power punch. I was cheered Joe!!!!Joe!!!

I was wrong It was mum my waking me up to go to school,”What a dream,” I said.

Georgian Conversation

“I am the key player for Georgia’s rugby team, so what do you need to know about Georgia?”
“All I need to know is ......... What is the capital city of Georgia, the main foods, the rugby team and what their pool is in the 2011 RUGBY WORLD CUP,” said Joe tiredly.
“Well lucky for you, I know all the answers to all your questions,” said

“Well the question I have been bugging to know is what is the traditional dish of Georgians?”
“I am 100 percent, that the traditional dishes are: Dumplings, Lobio, sulguni cheese,” said Malik Urjukashvvill with confidence.
“I am ready for the next answer!” said Joe with excitement
“So what was the next question you were about to ask me?” Urjukashvvill.
“Well I think it is the main player for the Georgian rugby team?” wondered Joe.
“That’s easy,I think you all ready know that answer?”said Malik Urjukashvvill
“Ummmmm, I think it is ohhhhhh,the answer is Malik Urjukashvvill,that’s you Said Joe.
The pool that we are in is pool B with:Argentina,England,Scotland and Romania and we have hard teams to play against,so what is the last question you were about to ask me?” wondered Malik
“Oh yes the last question is what is the capital of Georgia?” said Joe scratching his head.

“Wow, that's a hard to say, but I will try and get it the hang of it,

Where the world is Kenya??

Different Auckland town centers have adopted Rugby teams from countries that qualified for the World Cup. I found out information about : The location in Auckland; Something special about this place; A 'potted' history of the place; If it has it's own symbol of some sort.(If we couldn't find a symbol we chose a picture that told more about the place) . The country that I have been studding is Kenya, the sports that Kenya play is not only rugby and soccer.Kenya has their own soccer football federation that's cool.The population of this awesome country is 41,070,394.This country is on the Eastern Africa boarding the Indian Ocean between Somalia and Tanzania.The capitol city of Kenya is Nairobi.

Grey Lynn is located three kilometers to the South West of Auckland City Centre.
Grey Lynn was named after Sir George Grey (14 April 1812 - 19 September 1989) the Governor of south Australian and twice governor of New Zealand not only Aussie and the Kiwis but the flying Spring Boks of South Africa.The end of his life will be remembered in the Parliament of Auckland West.

Design Chairs

Identifying Needs
For the past few weeks our class, room 19 has been making prototypes for the street and researching ideas. Our prototypes are made out of paper mach’e,cardboard,P.V.A glue and we use some paint as well,all of our ideas were very creative and crazy, some of our students were making a theater seat, a car shape seat, a G shape seat that was white, one other person had a couch that had a massive H on it, one girl had a couch that looked like a clam that was black and had white triangles. The things that we had done was Identify needs, research, generating ideas ,develop solutions, realising solutions and evaluation. My very own prototype will continue next term. William Webb Ellis Cup

William Webb Ellis was born on 24Th November 1806 and he died in 1872. He was an Anglican clergyman who was famous for inventing the game of Rugby.
William didn’t invent the actual game of rugby but adapted to what we know as rugby today.
Originally they kicked the ball like soccer and he started the tradition of picking up the ball and running with it.
It all started when Mrs Ellis (his mother) sendt William and his older brother Thomas to a school where they could receive a very good education. This school was called Rugby school, that's where William had the idea of changing the sport named rugby.
The winning team at the rugby world cup would receive the a trophy named the William Webb

Ellis Cup.

The Martin Jet Pack

A kiwi inventor Glen Martin created the Martin jet pack that can fly 5000 ft. above sea level. Glen Martin was interviewed on Channel One’s Tonight Show and he said its just something he has been working on. People thought it was a big joke and they mocked Glen Martin a few years ago, so he has continued to work on his design.
Ha e created the jet pack to go place where helicopters could not go like just below trees.

He made the jet pack as safe as it could be. Glen Martin tested it with a dummy first and the person second. He put the dummy where the pilot would normally go and used a remote control to move it around. It flew 5000 ft. and sailed down 2000 ft. until the parachute shot out of the jet pack .Now the U.S. military army is very interest in buying this model for around $60,000, which I think is the perfect price.

Looking back-Looking forward

LOOKING BACK-LOOKING FORWARD

Looking back to last term, was a blast like the rocket has landed on the moon.. It was a lot of fun, we even got to go to camp take charge and that was a three whole days of breathe taking enjoyment and that was heaps and heaps of fun.

The Net books are a lot easier now, to use than books, and they are a whole heap of awesomeness and cool.

I am looking forward to this term of exciting new things like sports,swimming,Technology at Tamaki College and other new things, . If that can happen in10 weeks then what will happen in a year. Term 2,3 and 4 are going to be the best by far.

Adverbs

The cheetah ran very quickly for its prey.
A adverb helps out the verb and they tell us more about how the verb was performed they also make our writing more interesting.

My letter

Dear Mum and Dad,
How are you today? Are you felling well today?
I have some news about my behaviour in school, their is some bad and some good news.

The bad news is that today at school I got snapped playing games on my $427 dollars netbook and now I have another chance for my behaviour on my netbook .

The good news is that I have made it in to the rugby sevens and it will be on the last week of school

Apart from that things are going ok, that's what going on at school.

CAMP

Before Camp:
Team 5 Camp Take Charge (Camp TC) is gonna be one of the best camps I’ve ever been to and the coolest one as well, I can’t wait until next week 'cause....

It is next week! Seven more days to go now before camp starts I have all ready packed up my stuff for camp, I'm ready to go. I’m hoping this week will go even faster so that the fun can begin. My leaders are the speed star Feki, the fittest guy in school (I reckon!) and the other all-star Shontal - the girl with a really loud voice. Our teacher is the one and only rugby league champion Miss Vaafussaga. My groups name is the RESPECTABLEZ!!!!!

After Camp:
We have just finished camp and wow! what an amazing three whole days of school we had, but the best thing was winning the concert for the very first time in year 7 and year 8 Pt England history, Nah jokes,...but we still won, I cant stop talking about it.
The thing I took charge of is my tent and all around it as well.
Far out a three fun days filled with heart pounding, leg pumping fun activities.
This was the best ever camp of the 21st Century by far, it was the best experience, I've had this year.
